Bloc Party have announced a massive Australian Tour with a show at the Red Hill Auditorium on Friday 10th of November 2023.
UK's acclaimed indie-rock force, Bloc Party, is set to triumphantly return to Australian stages for the first time since 2018. The band has just announced an exciting string of headline shows scheduled for this November in Perth, Adelaide, and Hobart.
Indie fans are in for a treat as Bloc Party will be performing hailed gems from their genre-bending catalogue. Expect to hear favourites from their iconic albums like "Silent Alarm," "A Weekend In The City," "Intimacy," and their latest 2022 LP release, "Alpha Games." But that's not all—Bloc Party has gifted fans with two new singles this year, namely "Keep It Rolling" and "High Life," both part of "The High Life EP," set to release on Friday, 21st July.
Bloc Party's journey began in 2003 when lead singer Kele Okereke shared their single "She's Hearing Voices" with Franz Ferdinand's lead singer, Alex Kapranos, and BBC Radio 1 DJ Steve Lamacq. The song received high praise, with Lamacq labelling it "genius," thus, the band's breakthrough happened.
Their debut album, "Silent Alarm," released in 2005, achieved platinum status and garnered widespread critical acclaim. With nearly two decades and six albums worth of material, fans can look forward to an unforgettable live experience, featuring hits like "Banquet," "Helicopter," "This Modern Love," and "Flux."
Bloc Party's tour will kick off at Perth's Red Hill Auditorium on Friday, 10th November, followed by Adelaide's Hindley Street Music Hall on Sunday, 12th November, and Hobart's Odeon Theatre on Tuesday, 14th November. This tour is just the beginning, as the band is also gearing up for an East Coast co-headline tour with Interpol in mid-November.
